About Hopper Labs

We are a Chilean AI consultancy. We design, build, and maintain bespoke operational agents for mid-market and enterprise companies. We work as an end-to-end operating partner: scoping, build, integration, and support, with no dev team required on the client side. The commitment is measurable ROI in under 90 days.

About the role

An agent in production is not finished the day it ships: it breaks, the client's process changes, a case nobody anticipated shows up. You are the one who is there. You are a technical profile (you touch the code and the prompts), but you spend half your time talking to the client: understanding what they need, turning it into concrete changes, and shipping them.

Applies to every role
  • 100% remote. Where you are does not matter.
  • We work against objectives, not hours. You decide when you work.
  • We hire builders: autonomous people with taste, focused on quality and on adding real value.
  • Real autonomy: you get a business problem, not a ticket with the solution already written.
  • Technology and AI genuinely move you: you try the newest thing as it lands, you follow how the market is adapting to these tools, and you want to work out how to put them to use. We look for curious people who are deep in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Keep deployed agents alive: monitoring, diagnosis, and fixes when something breaks.
  • Ship improvements and adjustments to agents in production: prompts, tools, integrations, business rules.
  • Gather requirements alongside the sales team and the PM, and translate them into viable technical changes.
  • Be the client's go-to technical support: fast answers, explained in their language, not in jargon.
  • Train the client's teams so they get real value out of the agent.
  • Spot expansion opportunities inside the account and hand them back to sales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years building software.
  • Real command of LLMs applied to concrete cases: tool calling, prompts, RAG, hallucination control, cost, and latency. You must be able to modify an agent, not just report the problem.
  • Experience keeping systems alive in production: debugging with the client waiting on the other end.
  • The ability to talk to an operations manager and to a developer on the same day without changing who you are.
  • Technical English, reading and writing.

What we look for

  • Someone who takes ownership: the client's problem is your problem until it is solved.
  • The patience and judgement to tell the urgent complaint from the important one.
  • Taste and a focus on quality: patches pile up, and you are the one who stops that.
  • Full autonomy to prioritise your own queue.
